“Dia de Los Muertos” (or “Day of the Dead” for you gringos) is a Latin American holiday celebrated primarily in Mexico, but is also observed in other countries around the world. With its roots in a month-long Aztec celebration the festival today is celebrated Nov 1st and 2nd with gatherings of friends and family to honor and remember those who have passed.
Our show will present the traditional motifs of this thousands years old festival while adding modern interpretations to create something truly unique. Enjoy music, dance, visual & fine arts from 20-25 artists, food from local vendors, and wine and beverages. We will be hosting live bands, drag, and three fully choreographed dances with shadow puppets behind. Tickets also include an open beer and wine bar.
Tickets are $45 for singles and $75 for couples and will be available at www.firebrain.org/muertos starting October 14, 2012
