Artistas Libre! A sampling of Denver’s vibrant cultural art scene
A
lively palette and passionate self-expression are characteristics of
Artistas Libre; a show on display through July at the Chicano
Humanities & Arts Council (CHAC) on 772 Santa Fe Drive. The event
showcases the talent of six emerging and established Denver Latino/a
artists, The work, which includes paintings, drawings, sculpture
and jewelry, serves as a superb reminder of the vibrant cultural art
scene our city has to offer.
Los artistas are Board Members Tony
Vecchio, Danny Vigil (website) and Jeanette Montoya; CHAC's Education Director,
Veronica Herrera (website) ; new board member, Javier Flores and upcoming CHAC
members Ortavio Griego and David Garcia.
Artistas Libre will run
July 1st through the 28th at CHAC Gallery, 772 Santa Fe Drive. A First
Friday reception with the artists will be held on Friday, July 6th from
6-10 p.m.
