Krystie Rose Millich

CHAC is pleased to welcome Krystie Rose also known as "Tile Mosaic Girl"!

She writes, "I may not look or seem like some radical upon first glance, but my heart will always be in helping others, making the world a better place, connecting the personal with the political. What better place for an artist?! Activist-land! The long history of creativity and art being born out of pain is one that I have always honored and admired. My plan is to blend these parts of my world, make just fun stuff, help others find and exhibit their creativity, and ‘make the world a better place!"

Lisa Diamor Sanchez

I am inspired by the diverse layers of the past hidden beneath layers of paint in our cities and the possibility of change and the vibrancy that change brings. A background in Psychology helps provide me with an understanding of  how powerful the written word can be and why I use it so frequently in my art. I feel fortunate to be able to spend my time creating art, and that this profession allows me the gift of personal freedom.

Trish Sanchez

Through my art, I hope to express my belief that no matter what our lives have been we are given the opportunity each day to decide who we are and how we will live our lives.
I believe that diversity in life and art is essential and refuse to limit either to a particular style or subject, rather, letting one thing lead to another. I enjoy creating bold landscapes, horses and many layered abstract paintings utilizing inks, photography, print and any other media that that seems to work at the moment.

M. Carlos Sandoval

Adventuring to draw at age five, Carlos immersed himself into the world of his calling and the surroundings of an artist. Carlos remembers the everyday Spanish traditions of a remote village. Having learned ethics and faith from his father, Sheriff and Hermano Mayor, he rode horses through alfalfa fields, tended to grandmother baking bread outside in her adobe oven, and dried autumn harvests of beans, corn, and chile for the winter.
