Limited Edition Print. Your gift
with a donation of $50 or more.

This year, as the Chicano Humanities & Arts Council (CHAC) celebrates its 30th anniversary, we wish to extend our gratitude because as a member of the CHAC family, you have been integral in contributing to the vitality of the organization. Not only would CHAC cease to exist without our members, artists, and supporters, but we would also be without the creativity, artistic talent, and commitment of time and resources that collectively, enable the organization to thrive. And just as in any family, in order to grow, we continue to focus a portion of our efforts on the youngest members.

As many of you know, CHAC’s Children’s Program has grown by leaps and bounds during its five years in existence. Demands to work with area K-12 schools to enhance and develop their art programs have increased drastically and requests to collaborate with well-known and effective neighborhood groups that provide summer and after-school programs, such as The Bridge Project and Metro Denver Boys & Girls Clubs, have become amplified.

While these increases are tremendously exciting and a strong indication that CHAC’s Children’s Programs are some of the best in the city, they have also posed new challenges for the organization. Currently, the community requests for CHAC’s participation are simply outweighing the resources available.

In order to continue to serve the youngest members of our family and invest in the future of the organization, we invite you to join us as we celebrate 30 years of service to the community by contributing a donation of any amount to our La Familia Campaign. Your gift represents not only a vote of confidence in the work that we do, but will help us to:

  • Ensure that every child, regardless of economic background or living situation be provided with an arts education
  • Make certain that children are avoiding negative influences by providing students with a venue for after-school cultural programming
  • Support research that states that art can be particularly beneficial for students from economically disadvantaged homes and to those who are at risk of not succeeding in school
  • Enable CHAC’s Children’s Program participants to continue to perform works of art, create their own art, and respond to art and the ideas they impart, in turn, allowing them to develoand build self-esteem, social skills, cultural awareness, and pride
Thank you in advance for your support and for your role as a member of the CHAC family!

Sincerely,
Crystal O’Brien, Executive Director

P.S. As a token of our appreciation, you will receive a signed print of the original painting “I AM CHAC” by artist and founding member Al Sanchez for your gift of $50 or more. (Prints are limited serve basis.)
