Color My World
COLOR MY WORLD – Designed to express the learning objectives included in the Start with the Arts program. When we use observation, imagination and art materials anyone can be an artist. Age Range: 3-7 years-old, preschool-first grade
Activity Summary: Use your imagination and observation, to visualize a world without color. Then, visualize a world where the colors of nature are changed, for example, to warm instead of cool colors. Come and talk about your favorite color and how it makes you feel. Learn new color names and recognize old much loved ones. Invent your own colors as you make a colorful painting by mixing oil pastels.
Objectives:
- Observe and discuss favorite colors and their impacts.
- Utilize imagination with respect to colors.
- Learn, review, recognize and discuss colors through the reading of Colors. Reviewing color names in English and Spanish
- See what happens when colors are mixed together.
- Create a pastel painting and have a mini art show.
